Only when he lands can he reflect upon that dark stretch of himself. A shadow is a reminder of what is there even when it is not there. Up until this time I had not taken notice of my shadow for that matter. A bird really cannot fly if he cannot see that his feathers and wings are truly worthy and magnificent.
